This photo’s message is pretty straight forward to me, I think.
I photographed it to emphasize three elements: man, nature and “the link”.
It was taken on a recent Wind Farm Tour on the outskirts of Melbourne. I waited for one of the guys from the tour who was having a walkabout to get into frame.
The foreground, which consist of a dead tree was included to add another layer to the message.
Now, “the link” is how we draw nature’s energy to sustain our lifestyle and in this image, wind is that link.  
Layering an image is a technique I’m beginning to explore to improve my composition skills. But it is tough and often it depends on luck. This image would be a very different one if the man wasn’t standing there, seemingly in awe of the wind turbine.
