Good friends got married recently. It was a great ceremony, short & sweet. After the registration, we walked to the park nearby in the sweltering heat to capture some photos.
Got some great results; even though the mid-afternoon light was very harsh making exposure metering tough. Eventually I got them to stand at shaded areas with pockets of light shining through the trees. It was a bit tricky working with the huge differences in light levels but it worked well when the overexposed background is used to compliment the subjects. It was a colour shoot btw, but I decided to publish it in black & white so the couple could publish the final colour photos.
Managed to rap it up in under an hour, just in time for a couple of beers with the rest of the gang.
