The Royal Melbourne Show
It is often said that if your life depends on it you better be sure to take care of it. Well, not in those words, I made that up, but it makes perfect sense. Even more so in the business of livestock.
I recently went to one of the oldest shows for promoting and displaying livestock, 156 years old in fact, and had a glimpse into the world where livestock are well taken care of and proudly displayed.
Agriculture is a huge economic export in Australia and some of these highly prized, award winning animals are showcased in a huge barn, coupled with facilities for their carers to prep them.

Bathing livestock is something of a rarity but these livestock are competing and need that shine on them.

A woman carries hay for the livestock under her care.

Areas where livestock reside are immaculately kept, carers often clean the area of any feces.

Kids walk calves around a judging area as part of a competition as a man from Stamp Cattle Co. watches.

The introduction of calves by their carers, children dressed in police gear.
